The Out of Control Alter Ego Essay -- Literary Analysis

The story The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson conveys the theme of duality in nature in which man is fighting himself, or in this case, another version of himself. Being a psychology major, it is interesting to see a case this serious all all over how an alter ego can control the main psyche up to the point where it no longer conveys influence, but instead manipulation. In order to go out the control an alter ego can eventually have on the individual, it is important to comprehend exactly what an alter ego is and how an individual can tolerate dominance over it.A common misconception with this story is the readers belief that Dr. Jekyll suffers from schizophrenia. Schizophrenia (also called dementia praecox) is a psychotic disorder characterized by progressive deterioration of the personality, sezession from reality, hallucinations, delusions, social apathy, and emotional instability. In laymans terms, someone who suffers from schizophrenia is b orn with this disease and believes they hear voices, or see images, in their minds commanding them to eject certain tasks. They have no idea who the voices are or when they came to exist, but eventually they give into the demands in order to silence the voices. Subsequently, they withdraw themselves from society in the process. These symptoms do not accurately match up with the symptoms of Dr. Jekyll. Dr. Jekyll did extract himself towards the end of the story only because he could no longer manipulate his transformations. Nothing in the story reveals him being born with such a disease. Due to this, he cannot be classified as a schizophrenic.Another universal misconception is that Mr. Hyde is Dr. Jekylls crack up personality. This seems comprehensible ... ... song represents the emotions tied in with someone who has an alter ego. The movie Mr. Brooks is a reflection of the story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and how he battled with himself to contain control over his mind and his n ature. This is how each source reflects the story of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Works CitedStevenson, R. Louis. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The Norton Anthology. aldous huxley :: essays research papers

Aldous Huxley was born in Surrey, England on July 26, 1894 to an illustrious family deeply grow in Englands literary and scientific tradition. Huxleys father, Leonard Huxley, was the son of Thomas Henry Huxley, a well-known biologist who gained the nickname "Darwins bulldog" for championing Charles Darwins evolutionary ideas. His mother, Julia Arnold, was related to the important nineteenth-century poet and essayist Matthew Arnold.Raised in this family of scientists, writers, and teachers (his father was a writer and teacher, and his mother a schoolmistress), Huxley received an excellent education, first at home, then at Eton, providing him with access to numerous fields of knowledge. Huxley was an avid student, and during his life clip he was renowned as a generalist, an intellectual who had mastered the use of the English language but was also conscious about cutting-edge developments in science and other fields. Although much of his scientific understanding was superfic ialhe was easily convinced of findings that remained somewhat on the strike of mainstream sciencehis education at the intersection of science and literature allowed him to integrate current scientific findings into his novels and essays in a way that few other writers of his time were able to do.Aside from his education, another major influence on Huxleys life and writing was an eye disease contracted in his teenage years that left wing him almost blind. As a teenager Huxley had dreamed about becoming a doctor, but the degeneration of his eyesight prevented him from pursuing his chosen career. It also intemperately restricted the activities he could pursue. Because of his near blindness, he depended heavily on his first wife, Maria, to take care of him. Blindness and vision are motifs that permeate much of Huxleys writing.after graduating from Oxford in 1916, Huxley began to make a name for himself writing satirical pieces about the British upper class. Though these writings were skillful and gained Huxley an audience and literary name, they were principally considered to offer little depth beyond their lightweight criticisms of social manners. Huxley continued to write prolifically, working as an essayist and journalist, and publishing four volumes of poetry forward beginning to work on novels. Without giving up his other writing, beginning in 1921, Huxley produced a series of novels at an astonishing rate Crome Yellow was produce in 1921, followed by Antic Hay in 1923, Those Barren Leaves in 1925, and Point Counter Point in 1928.

The Importance of Blake in Today’s World :: Biography Biographies Essays

The Importance of Blake in Todays World William Blake, who lived in the latter half of the 18th century and the early part of the nineteenth, was a profoundly stirring poet who was, in large part, responsible for bringing about the Romantic movement in poetry was able to achieve remarkable results with the simplest means and was one of several poets of the time who restored rich musicality to the language (Appelbaum v). His research and introspection into the human mind and person has resulted in his being called the Columbus of the psyche, and because no language existed at the time to describe what he discovered on his voyages, he created his throw mythology to describe what he found there (Damon ix). He was an accomplished poet, painter, and engraver. Blake scholars disagree on whether or not Blake was a mystic. In the Norton Anthology, he is described as an acknowledged mystic, who precept visions from the age of four (Mack 783). Frye, however, who seems to be one of the most influential Blake scholars, disagrees, saying that Blake was a visionary rather than a mystic. Mysticism . . . means a certain var. of religious techniques difficult to reconcile with anyones poetry, says Frye (Frye 8). He next says that visionary is a word that Blake uses, and uses constantly and cites the example of Plotinus, the mystic, who experienced a direct apprehension of deity four times in his life, and then only with great effort and relentless discipline. He finally cites Blakes poem I rose up at the dawn of day, in which Blake states, I am in Gods presence night & day, And he never turns his face away (Frye 9). Besides all of these achievements, Blake was a accessible critic of his own time and considered himself a prophet of times to come. Frye says that all his poetry was written as though it were about to have the immediate societal impact of a new play (Frye 4). His social criticism is not only representative of his own country and era, but strikes profo und chords in our own time as well. As Appelbaum said in the introduction to his anthology English Romantic Poetry, Blake was not fully rediscovered and rehabilitated until a full century after his dying (Appelbaum v). For Blake was not truly appreciated during his life, except by small cliques of individuals, and was not well-known during the rest of the nineteenth century (Appelbaum v).

The Role of the Princess in Jean Cocteau’s Film Orpheus Essay examples

The Role of the Princess in Jean Cocteaus Film OrpheusAs he lay in his bed, Orpheus Death would watch him sleep. This is one of the most famed reoccurring behaviors of the princess of finis in Jean Cocteaus Orpheus. As made apparent, one of the many differences between Cocteaus version of Orpheus and the Greek version is that death is personified finished a female princess, rather than that of a male god. How does Cocteau embody death through the princess, is she all powerful, does she escape mortal tendencies, and finally, what does all this suggest about death?Throughout history death has been a fascination to many authors, often personified as cruel, rigid, and ugly. In Cocteaus Orpheus, however, death (or perhaps merely a typeface of death), is personified through a beautiful and strong, young woman. While this faade fools Cocteaus characters, he uses many clues to indicate the princesss role much(prenominal) as appearance, dialogue, and actions. In the first scene we are int roduced to the princess when she appears at the social cafe with Cegeste, a distinguished and unruly young poet. While her role at this point remain unclear, her powerful stature is clear. She steps out of her car with grace yet confidence, making eye contact with no one, yet holding her head high. without delay she is noticed by Orpheus, by both her beauty and authority. Her clothing is dark black long skirt and black jacket, and her hair is worn sleeked back in a pony tail. All this indicates authority, hardly the color choice further indicates a cool, dark presence. Throughout the film, as the princesss mood changes, her wardrobe as well changes, from business like to more romantic and seductive. Despite these changes, one thing remains constant, the co... ...ponding to her abuse of power. While she did possess powers, she did not possess the authority of when to bore those powers. In Jean Cocteaus Orpheus, he has personified death through a beautiful princess. Throughout th e film, many common beliefs of death were challenged, from those more trivial such as how death may appear, to whether it be an all-powerful occurrence, or managed under some higher power. By using the princess as deaths personification, he weakened the idea of death suggesting that while it is beyond the hands of mere mortals a higher power is in control. As the princess took life through personalized motive, perhaps there, too, is motive behind whatever power controls death. I believe Cocteau is suggesting that we live in a world where death comes to not only those deserving, but to bystanders who happen to be in the way of a personal goal.

Live Like You’Re Dying Essay

Clean, Cull, and Connect. In his short essay Live like youre dying, Chuck Palahniuk refers them as the Three Cs. After confirming that self-destruction is the only escape route, they ar the three final chores you must finish on your last lively week. Clean everything. Your bathroom, car, refrigerator, everything. Cull down your resources, donate and undo needless possessions, and get a good haircut. Connect to everyone youve ever known and say something nice, no matter how bad you hate them.Dont facial expression humiliated, youve got nonhing to lose except a few days of your life. Also, know that no one will remember you, know that the world will not change after you die. Know that you will not be missed. And after all of this, Palahniuk says you probably wont bother to kill yourself, since by then youll be surrounded by friends who recognize you as a decent and valuable friend. But there is more to the essay than explaining what the three Cs are. Both the title and content cl early spotlights devastation as a major concept of the essay, as most of Palahniuks writings are.Actually, Palahniuk touches on death so often that it seems he cannot go through a single essay without discussing about it. Also, from start to beginning, his sentences are written in such a clean-cut way that the reader almost feels suicidal. Do everything. Destroy it. Treat yourself. Your oven will be clean, your car vacuumed. Even in the merriest mind, one cannot help entirely be persuaded that the world will crumble when the essay ends. Why does Palahniuk do so? It seems odd and arduous for any writer to be so pestilent when he writes.Palahniuk was beleaguered by death all his life. In his mind, his happy family had already died when his parents divorced, leaving him and his three siblings to live with their grandparents. Later on, Palahniuk volunteered at a hospice as an escort, where he had to witness the death of a patient he had grown attached to (which lead him to stop volunteer working). And around 1999, Palahniuks father Fred Palahniuk was shot and dragged into a house which was put on fire. Palahniuk later on helped the decision of the killers death sentence, the ex-boyfriend of Fred Palahniuks girlfriend.Although death is a frequently visited topic for Palahniuk, he probably doesnt always write in such a deathly manner on purpose. But it is also not surprising that Palahniuk ends up writing about death every time. Palahniuks word cream during the essay is also different from the ordinary writer. Not only that most of them are short, hardly all of them are so-called easy words (perhaps procrastinate at the last paragraph is an exception). Of course, it comes from Palahniuks minimalistic writing philosophy, but anyone with internet connector to Wikipedia can figure that out.The question is, where does his writing philosophy come from? Palahniuk claims himself to be a romantic who expresses ideas that others do not believe in. It is only na tural that he holds different ideas from the ordinary man, regarding the unordinary world he grew up in. Therefore, readers of Palahniuk need to think twice about what he wrote to understand it. But complex words run away to have an accurate meaning to it, which doesnt leave any space to think again about what he was actually trying to say. This leaves Palahniuk no choice but to use more flexible, simpler and original words.Although it doesnt show in the essay Live like youre dying, an exception is when it comes to mechanics. For example, in his novel encounter Club, most of the processes in making plastic bombs or soap is described in an accurate manner. This is probably because Palahniuk used to work for Freightliner as a mechanic, but his tendency to describe mechanical processes accurately has less to do with his flow of words than we have interest to. As it has been clearly shown, Live like youre dying has a deep relation to Palahniuks background, almost as if the essay is a shadow of Palahniuk.Everything that Palahniuk has been through, and is going through, is spilled out and spread, conscious or unconscious, on the computer screen when he writes. He cant help it. And it would be nonsense to say that this only counts for Chuck Palahniuk every essay is a shadow of the author in some way or the other, a footprint of what he has been through. Theres a sort of syllogism going on here what youve one is what you are, what you are is what you write, so what youve done is what you write. If you disagreed, youd be challenging Socrates.

Black Like Me †Book Report Essay

For the book report, I read the book Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin. The drool takes signal in 1959 and revolves around a lily- dust coat man who decides to go to the Deep sulphur undercover as a ominous man to try to get wind what really goes on there. This man, John Griffin, documented his journey from beginning to end in order to make an effort to end racial segregation. For seven weeks, he lived and experienced the horrors that a downhearted man lived every day during that time. He quickly learned that he no longer had the same privileges as he did as a white man.He could no longer go into any store he wanted and had to walk miles before finding soul who would let him buy a glass of water or to custom the bathroom. Reading this book, my eyes were opened to all the disadvantages the black man faced that I always heard about in school, but never really understood. John Griffin moved away from his home and family in Mansfield, Texas to New Orleans, atomic number 57 to conduct his research. His motivation was for racial justice and for his frustration of not understanding the black experience. At this time, no black man in his pay off object would tell a white man how horrible life was for him.Since Griffin was a white man, interviewing blacks would not give him a true picture of their life. He decides to go with the only way he will very find out what its like to be a black in the South to change the color of his skin. He went through different medical treatments to accomplish this. To change his skin color from white to black, he took pills to darken his skin, and also utilize skin dyes. He then could easily pass through New Orleans streets as a Negro. He befriended a shoeshine who had been shining his subscribe to same shoes when he was a white man.The shoeshine is delighted with Griffins compute and opens the life of a black man up to him. The shoeshine taught him how to act, talk, and everything else that he needed to know. Going into this study, Griffin, knew he would run into parti pris, oppression, and many an(prenominal) hardships, but he did not truly know how bad it was until now. He was no longer allowed to use any bathroom he pleased. Sometimes he would have to walk all the way across townspeople, even when there was a bathroom right by him, because he could not use a white mans facilities.Throughout his experience as a black man he deals with insults and struggles on a daily basis. After being in New Orleans for a while, he decides to go to the heart of Mississippi where racial prejudice is even worse for blacks. Griffin notices that the black communities there seemed to have given up hope of ever being equal, and he begins to notice the same pick up across his own face. The whites were the main contributors to this loss of hope. For example, when he was riding the bus into Mississippi they took a ten minute bathroom break. The bus driver refused to let the black passengers off because he did not want to have to go round them up when they left. After witnessing this sense of defeat in Mississippi and how awing the whites were, he decides to venture to Montgomery, Alabama where he is shocked at what he finds. In Montgomery, the black community is recharged with determination. They practice passive resistance against the racist laws and rules present against them. They are filled with hope and the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.They are not afraid to go to jail or face the other consequences that may lie ahead. After seeing this, he begins to switch back and forth betwixt being a black man and then a white man the very next day. He visits the very same places as a white man and is do by with the greatest respect, while as a black man he was treated with fear and suspicion. He was able to go into the restaurants where blacks were not even allowed to stop to look at the menu. Switching between black and white opened his eyes to how society treated blacks and whites at the tim e.One day he was a disgrace and the next he was treated like a king. After this long trip, he decided to let his skin fully return white and go back home. After look over his information and organizing it he decides it is finally time for the public to know the truth. He then publishes his findings and goes on television for interviews. He is asked to speak on many shows. Many people support him and his findings, but the people in his home town do not offer much support. People in his town begin to turn on him and threaten his life and the lives of his family members. He asks the police to watch his house so his family is not harmed. It gets so bad that they have to come out for a while. When they come back, nothing has changed. Someone in town hangs a dummy of him on Main Street. The dummy is half black and half white and there was a sign on it that read John Griffin. He decided to move his family away once and for all to prevent anyone from acquire hurt. This story gave me an in side look of what it was like to be both a black and a white person during 1959 in the south. I was unable to put together the book follow out because I was so intrigued.I have never heard the black persons view to racial prejudice before. This story took my breath away. My favorite part of this book is when John Griffin (1960) describes how you are treated based on your skin color. I was the same man, whether white or black. Yet when I was white, I received the brotherly-love smiles and the privileges from whites and the hate stares or obsequiousness from the Negroes. And when I was a Negro, the whites judged me fit for the junk heap, while the Negroes treated me with great warmth. (p. 126) I am shocked from what I read in this book. The author was treated completely different as a white man than he was as a black man. When he was a white man, he receives respect and courtesy from the other whites, but suspicion and fear from the blacks. When he was a black man, he receives hatred and hostility from the whites, but warmth and generosity from his fellow blacks. It surprised me that you could sense these distinct feelings toward him while reading. It was almost like I was alive it myself. It is crazy how cold-hearted some of the white people acted towards him. Some had sympathy in their eyes, but others were set to make his life horrible. This book just goes to show you how truly bad it was for the blacks during segregation. It is proof of it, and the stories of John Griffin are more realistic than any told or documented before. Black Like Me was not made up to sympathize the blacks or as an overreaction. Its the truth that Griffin personally witnessed and lived. The whites dehumanized the blacks and treated them like savages. Towards the end of the book he was walking down a highway for miles hoping someone would pick him up.During the day, not a single white person would pick him up. This all changed during the night. That night, he always had a ride. He rea lized after a while, that the whites only picked him up to hear about the black mans sex life. This disgusts me. These men were asking him repulsive questions, and if he did not give him a sufficient answer, he would be kicked out of the vehicle. The questions that they were asking him would never be asked to his friends. This part of the book illustrates how the whites did not care for the black mans pride and instead wanted to dehumanize him.Reading this book, Black Like Me, opened my eyes to the terrors that the black people faced in the South during 1959. I also gain an understanding of how whites were treated in comparison to blacks. John Griffin was very brave for taking on this project and publishing his findings. This must have taken a lot of courage, but his work helped many people. Without this inside look at the treatment of blacks in the South, we magnate never have known how truly horrible it was. Yes, there are other stories, but this is a full account of one mans jou rney in and out of the heart of segregation.

Girl with a Pearl Earring

One of Johannes Vermeers mysterious artworks which are universally recognized is the lady friend with a Pearl Earring. This arrange of artwork still poses a few unanswered questions and wonders after more than a century of studies. The identity of the sitter in the portrait, who is she? What significance did the pearl earring pretend? When was the exact date of the impression? Vermeer was born and raised in the Dutch town, Delft and began his genre paintings in the late 1650s. Although Vermeer produced only 36 paintings in his lifetime, he had a different approach to his artworks.Dutch paintings were very popular as it captures the everyday experiences and the affection of the land and homes in the town. Paintings celebrate and record the facts of life enhancing the intense friendliness of warmth and cooler qualities of light. Vermeer adapted the expressive scenes taking on a timeless heraldic bearing to impart them as extraordinary dignity and moral gravity. little girl with a Pearl Earring has been called as The Dutch Mona Lisa during the Golden Age. She is young, delicate and has an appealing and questioning look on her face with her head slightly turned towards us.She is article of clothing a rich golden robe with a white collar, a blue turban with yellow falling behind her. She is set against a minacious defined background which dominates the space of the scene. Vermeer discovered the skill behind optics and light to capture what the audience sees. The unexpended and spotted dark background enhance the cubic effect of the figure as light illuminates something delicate which takes us to the pearl earring as a focal point. Pearls in the17th Century was a status symbol and conveys a sense of purity and innocence which together make a representation of a timeless beauty.Over many centuries, the young girl with sympathetic eyes starring over her shoulder holds no attributes that identify her and her age Vermeer is known for painting religious and my thological themes and the evident interest of the female presence and activity. This encourages the audience to understand Vermeers challenge to explore the intimate aspects of female nature as well as their relation to social context. It is the lack of past and iconographic framework that conveys such immediacy to all who view her.Identities of the sitters in most of Vermeers paintings arrive at ever been recognized, including the girl in Girl with a Pearl Earring. It has believed she may have been Vermeers first daughter Maria aged about 12 or 13 between 1665 and1667. The painting was not seen as a portrait but a tronie, and considers the model in Vermeers Art of Painting. Contemporary scholars do not agree with the equal to(p) as they believe the painting is an idealized study and reveals Vermeers classical tendencies.Even though his artworks seem so realistic, modification to scale and shape have been made to achieve balance in the composition and strength. The mixtures of co lours used by Vermeer suggest the intensity of light and tonal values. His paint build-up through brushwork creates uneven and granular effects and captures the attention of the audience. There are studies which explore the number of aspects of Vermeers painting techniques and materials although it is difficult to describe as his methods is complicated by the operative experimenting different techniques throughout his career. It has been detected that the use of chalk, charcoal, tempera and oil paints in various tones were used with the initial drawing of the figure. One of the most important stages in his performance is the underpainting after the initial drawing was complete to ensure the accuracy of lights and darks, composition, volume and substances to the form to create an effect illumination. Colours used in underpainting admit warm browns, black and white. The next stage was to give correct colouring and fix the final contours of the forms. This procedure is called working- up. Each area of the painting corresponded to a perspicuous visual experience to render the illusionistic visual experience as convincing as possible. As you can see, the girls face was illuminated with the work-up procedure with two layers of thin flesh tone using a badger. As artist had very few colours in the days, glazing was used to create the vibrant colours. For example, blue and red were glazed over each other to create purple. There were two areas in which Vermeer used glazing. The blue part of the turban with chromatic blue and white and then a thin transparent layer of ultramarine once the first layer was dry to add depth and chromatic power to the underlying opaque blue. While Vermeers painting techniques was never a fixed technique, his artworks show that his use of methods and materials were those used by contemporaries. His work shows a sense of realistic impression, sensuous quality and mystery. This enables the audiences to understand the sophisticated perspective and his used of innovative ways to create a sense of space and cognisance of its psychological impact.

I am following seven stairss as selling program to develop my Photostat machine in the market. These points are as follow-1 ) Selling Environment2 ) NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT3 ) Pricing OF THE PRODUCT4 ) Launching Political campaign5 ) Ad AND PROMOTION6 ) LOGISTIC AND SUPPLY CHAINSelling environmentThe selling environment in India is undergoing a rapid transmutation, and this is peculiarly important for Indian companies. Changes in authorities ord inances and stinting policies, forces of globalization and competition, and the evolving nature of ingestion behaviors are supplying important chances. Many companies have started using the chances that are emerging in the altering selling environment. As the market of consumers are acquiring educated they are giving more emphasis on quality than monetary value. Selling environment is made up of external factor which is further made up of micro and macro factors. I am taking in to consideration all these factors while establishing a Photostat machine and conveying it into the market.A big figure of forces phase the selling environment. To assist form your thought, it s utile to sort the assorted forces as falling into either the( 1. ) take in market environment.( 2 ) The external market environment. The direct environment of any generic market or product-market includes clients, the company, and rivals. The external market environment is broader. The variables of the external marke t environment autumn into four major countries1. Economic environment.2. Technological environment.3. Political and legal environment.4. Cultural and societal environment. In the of a sudden tally, the selling director does nt command the variables of the selling environment. That s why it s sometimes utile to believe of them as unmanageable variables. On the other manus, the selling director can and should carefully see the environmental variables when doing determinations that can be controlled. For illustration, a director may non be able to make anything to countervail the strengths of a specific rival, but the director can choose schemes that lead the house into product-markets where that house does non vie, or where competition in general is non as strong. We ll see how they shape chances restricting some possibilities and doing others more attractive. A company must make up ones mind where it s traveling, or it may fall into the trap denotative so good by the citation Havin g lost sight of our nonsubjective, we redoubled our attempts. Company aims should determine the way and operation of the whole concern. It is hard to put aims that rightfully guide the present and future development of a company. The selling director should be heard when the company is puting aims. But puting whole-company aims within resource bounds is in the long stick out the duty of top direction. In this sense, whole-company aims are normally outside the selling director s control. It would be convenient if a company could put one aim such as doing a net income and allow that function as the usher. Actually, nevertheless, puting aims is much more complicated, which helps explicate why it s frequently done ill or non done at all. The undermentioned three aims provide a utile starting point for puting a house s aims. They should be sought together because in the long tally a distress in even one of the three countries can take to entire failure of the concern. A concern sh ould1. Engage in specific activities that will execute a socially and economically utile map.2. Develop an organisation to transport on the concern and implement its schemes.3. Earn adequate net income to last. The graduation aim says that the company should make something utile for society. This is nt merely a humanitarian aim. Businesss ca nt be without the blessing of consumers. If a house s activities appear to be contrary to the consumer good.New merchandise development-Generating THE IDEASThe new merchandise development procedure starts with the hunt for thoughts. New merchandise development requires garnering thoughts to be evaluated as possible merchandise options. For many companies thought coevals is an on-going procedure with parts from inside and outside the organisation. Many market research techniques are used to promote thoughts including running focal point groups with consumers, channel members, and the company s gross revenues force promoting client remarks etc . Customer demands and wants are the logical topographic point to get down the hunt. Employees throughout the company can be beginning of thoughts for any merchandise.ScreeningThe thoughts generated in thought coevals are critically evaluated by company forces to insulate the most attractive options. Depending on the figure of thoughts, showing may be done in unit of ammunitions with the first unit of ammunition affecting company executives judging the feasibleness of thoughts while consecutive unit of ammunitions may use more advanced research techniques. delightful thoughts move on to the following measure.Market Research and Analysis Situational Analysis Product/Service AnalysisOur strengths are Low monetary values High quality merchandises Experienced StaffOur failings are Limited distribution channelsTarget MARKET STRATEGY Students of the university Staff of the university Corporate universe schoolsBusiness AnalysisNow in concern analysis the procedure becomes really parasiti cal on market research as attempts are made to analyse the viability of the merchandise thoughts. Much attempt is directed at both internal research, such as treatments with production and buying forces, and external selling research, such as client and distributer studies, secondary research, and rival analysis. By concern analysis we come to cognize about gauging entire gross revenues, costs and net income.PRODUCT AND MARKETING MIX DEVELOPMENTIdeas go throughing through concern analysis are given hard consideration for development. Companies direct their research and development squads to reconstruct an initial design or paradigm of the thought. I will besides get down to build a selling program for the merchandise. Once the paradigm is ready the seller seeks client input. In add-on to deriving client feedback, this measure is used to reckon the feasibleness of large-scale, cost effectual production for manufactured merchandises. Chiefly at this phase the company will find weat her the merchandise thought can be translated in to a technically merchandise.Market TestingAfter direction is satisfied the merchandise is ready to dressed up with a trade name name and set in to a market trial. In some instances the seller accepts what was learned from construct proving and skips over market proving to establish the thought as a to the full marketed merchandise. But other companies may seek more input from a larger group before traveling to commercialisation. The most common type of market proving makes the merchandise available to a selective little section of the mark market ( e.g. , one metropolis ) , which is exposed to the full selling attempt as they would be to any merchandise they could buy.CommercializationIf market proving shows assuring consequences the merchandise is ready to be introduced to a wider market. Some houses introduce or roll-out the merchandise in moving ridges with parts of the market having the merchandise on different agendas. This all ows the company to rage up production in a more controlled manner and to ticket short letter the selling mix as the merchandise is distributed to new areas. In commercializing a new merchandise, market entry timing is critical like if I have realized my development work and cognize that my rival is approaching the terminal of its development work so I will confront three choices-First entry, Parallel entry, deeply entry. This determination involves extra consideration. It depends how we want to come in in market.Analysis of competition will include pricing by direct rivals, related merchandises and primary merchandises* Direct Competitor Pricing Almost all selling determinations, including pricing, will include an rating of rivals offerings. The conflict of this information on the existent scene of monetary value will depend on the competitory nature of the market. we must non merely research competitory monetary values but must besides remunerate close attending to how these companies will react to the our pricing determinations.* Related Product Pricing Products that offer new ways for work outing client demands may look to pricing of merchandises that clients are presently utilizing even though these other merchandises may non look to be direct rivals.GOVERNMENT REGULATIONWe must be cognizant of ordinances that impact how monetary value is set in the markets in which their merchandises are sold. These ordinances are chiefly authorities enacted significance that there may be legal branchings if the regulations are non followed. Price ordinances can come from any degree of authorities and vary widely in their demands. Finally, when selling beyond their place market, we must acknowledge that local ordinances may do pricing determinations different for each market. This is peculiarly a concern when merchandising to international markets where failure to see ordinances can take to unholy punishments. Consequently sellers must hold a clear apprehension of ordinances in each market they serve. There are besides extra legal concerns when it comes to monetary value.STP for the merchandiseAfter holding the merchandise development and choosing the monetary values I will travel for establishing the merchandise. In the launch run I will be demoing or presenting the assorted characteristics of the merchandise. The chief thought behind this is to do people familiar about the merchandise and here I will be ask foring all the major distributers of different metropoliss who are maintaining the Photostat machines of different companies besides so that they come to cognize about my new trade name and can hold stock with them. I can do topographic point for my merchandise in bing market by deep market survey, maintaining the monetary value less than other existing monetary value of the photostat machines. Positioning is to show the procedure. Any company, single, merchandise and service could utilize this method to busy a place in the heads of co nsumers The placement can be done by utilizing assorted mediums like giving advertizements on telecasting, newspapers etc. Placement of the photostat machine is being done really efficaciously in the heads of clients. It is depth survey of the mark audience from the position of the audience themselves in order to take information to plow efficaciously and vouch a manner to supply consistent communicating. This will make a method which consequences in consumers memorising the company or the merchandise in a certain manner. The rule of positioning created a new epoch. With this construct widely known and accepted by the people, selling experts besides tried to refer this rule with the bing selling theory systemsPromotion and AdPromotion is a signifier of corporate communicating that uses assorted methods to make a targeted audience with a certain message in order to accomplish specific organisational aims. About all organisations, must prosecute in some signifier of publicity. Such attempts may run from transnational houses passing big amounts on procuring high-profile famous persons to function as corporate interpreters to the proprietor of a one-man endeavor go throughing out concern cards at a local bourgeois s meeting. For publicity, apart from go oning the bing scheme of concentrating on T.V. channels. I would besides concentrate on move through wireless. Our publicity scheme is based chiefly on doing the right information available to the right mark client. In this we have to look into that what manner of advertizement we have to utilize to the advertizement of the Lenovo s Photostat machine.DecisionTo establish any new merchandise like Photostat machine in the market it is really customary to establish the merchandise as per a specific selling program of that merchandise. To cognize the current place of the companies that is bring forthing the same merchandises and what consumers demand from them. To maximise their net income and capturing more market p ortion proper analysis of each and every phase involved in selling program is really of import. If the company non doing marketing program before establishing any new merchandise so there are maximal opportunities of acquiring loss. A selling program may be portion of an overall concern program. Solid selling statergy is the foundation of a well-written selling program. While a selling program contains a list of actions, a selling program without a sound strategic foundation is of small usage. Behind the corporate aims, which in themselves offer the chief place setting for the selling program, will put the corporate mission which in bend provides the context for these corporate aims. At the last I can reason that selling program is indispensable to do before establishing any new merchandise in the market.

Such task requires a more house-to-house representing of lead and its effective appl ication in the group.Leadership is a serious task that has to betaken by those who are able to understand the federation in an objective way. Certainly, the idea of becoming a leader requires serious thinking. Becoming a leader requires efforts that start with personal development and adjustments. There are numerous theories and practices that help the hopeful leaders in becoming the person that they want to be. In the paper to follow, a reflection on ones ability and self-improving processes would be discussed in the view of the author of this paper.Being a leader is a serious task that requires serious effort and determination to adjust on the part of the person who wants to pursue on being a leader in his or her own field of interest. As Peter Northouse refer to lead as a change that would affect the whole personality of an individual(2006, 16). It is not true that leaders are born, they are made. Through self-restructuring of themselves, the leaders of today have sprung out f rom actually being nothing to becoming influential personalities in the human society. How? Because of their determination to make a change to the society that root out from the changes that they had to make on themselves in the first place. This is the reason why in this paper, a self-examination process shall be utilized to learn the magnificence of self-adjustment in becoming a leader. Leadership is one of the most common practices that is found and applied on the antithetical organizations around the world. The need for governance has in general increased the pressure on institutions specializing in educating aspiring leaders with the needed skills that they are expected to have when they are already working on their own fields of interest.Leadership for many is a virtue learned through the experience of becoming great followers. It requires effort and ample time before it could be verbalise to be the perfect way of showing leaders. It could be obviously seen how much the peo ple who are considered leaders in the world are viewed as model(prenominal) people and not as people who knows only to command and drives other to work. When it comes to the origin industry, the character involving refined leadership is a must to be have by everyone. Yes, as leadership itself has strongly affected the lives of many people in the business industry, it indeed is an eventful character. The idea of being a leader itself is never that easy. Though, through careful and patient learning in adjusting ones self to be able to adapt to the necessary needed characters of a leader, a refined leadership is never that impossible to acquire. When it comes to the definition of leadership, many groups or organizations have their own view of the characters and responsibilities involved in being a leader. As for example, House defines leadership organizationally and narrowly as the ability of an individual to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute toward the effectivene ss and victory of the organizations of which they are members (House, R. J. 2004 page 15).Indeed, the success of the leader would naturally determine the success of the organization he or she is acquainted with. This is the main reason why many people tend to rightfully deeply learn the art of leadership. Mainly aiming to alleviate the effectiveness of ones leadership skills, leadership schools and courses were opened especially regarding the business industries.Certainly, with this thought and leadership implications considered within the process, the organization aims to develop as a more solid team that tries to deal with the challenges of the industry in a more strategic and comprehensive manner that would be best for the clients as well as for the organizational staff themselves. This is an obvious call for everyone to change towards the better and faster progress of the company aimed to help the organization in setting a better character among its clients in the market. With this mission statement stratified, it could be notes that the weight of the progress is relied upon the leaders of the different sectors of the organization and the cooperation of the entire team towards the progress procedures implemented by the said leaders.VISIONWith the effective application of strategic leadership and implicative approaches to the organizations business operations, it is then expected that the performance of the entire team would be increased in terms of client satisfaction and personal job satisfaction as well. Everyone is rather hoped to have a strong trust within the new approach that would be used towards the aims of progress of the entire business in its patronage industry. Moreover, understanding of such issue in terms of company leadership is viewed as a huge step that would bring a great reputation of strength and loyalty to its clients in the market. The system concerned in the said manner of progression is indeed expected to increase the knowledge o f everyone with regards effective leadership and tem work. With this in sight, the company is certainly ready for the approaching changes it needs to face as it approaches the new age of car and auto sales competition in the market.ReferencesFinding and keeping good employees DHI works toward proactive support programs. Hence, it is just reasonable to say that at some points, some forethought teams whitethorn find it a difficult task as well. However, the author, John riddle says otherwise.According to him, these are all factors of management that should be considered by good music directors flush before entering an organization (113). Hence, this definitely means that avoiding diversity in the workforce may be impossible but giving a issue to it is not that impossible. After all, there is s till a common ground among the working force of severally company no matter how diverse they may be it is that they are humans, which makes them capable of being dealt with and managed well.In this regard, John Riddle has suggested several points of consideration when dealing with such business problems. In general terms, he summarized the ways by which a good conductor could handle the difficulties of dealing with a diverse workforce. The said suggestions are as follows Concentrate on the strengths of the employees. When a manager discovers the tasks where the employees usually excel in, they should be assigned to them as they are expected to be more productive on those fields of the job. Understand the abilities and the potential of each employee present in the organization. These potential assets of the employees could as well be used by the company itself in aiming for the goals that it has set up for the future. Allow communication lines t be open at all times. It is very impo rtant for managers to be good listeners. The ability of hearing what the employees want form the company as well as to how they could be of bigger help to the organization could be used as a resource of ideas for the company as well. Make the employees feel that they too have a sense of authority in the company. However, this type of authority should not overstep that of the administrations. It should be clear that this authority could only be exercised at specific times and places when it is permitted. This may often refer to an open door policy that deals with an easier type of agreement between the employees, which could give them a venture to affect how the organization is being managed. They are then allowed to give suggestions however, no suggestions are implemented unless approved by the administration. Make sure that all employees understand the business goals and objectives. It should always be remembered that a well-informed employee, whether young or old, is a productive employee. A manager should always remember that he is oversee people with feelings who are valuable members of the organization, hence, treating them with great respect at all times no matter what culture they come from is one of the most important virtue any manager could post as an example for his colleagues. Treating everyone fairly and sensitively is the key to creating a fine working environment. It should be remembered that because of the different clutters of the people, they all have different preferences they have different personal obligations and other more. Considering the fact that dealing with multicultural workforce also involve dealing with their differences of belief, a manager could as well consider fairness at all times to be able to set a common ground for everyone else in the organization. Keep everyone else busy and going all the time. Feeling ones worth is usually measured on the things they are able to do for the organization in a day. In this manner, it co uld be said that regardless of ones difference from the others, being able to do something for the company and being of worth to the organization makes an employee feel that even though there are differences, he still belongs to the organization he is working for. Keep employees informed of the ins and outs of the organization. Keeping employees in the evil when some changes within the organization arise may give them the notion that they are not given importance by the administration of the company. Acknowledge the employees efforts, years of work, talent, creativity and good job attributes. Doing so would help everyone else strive for the best while they are working in the company. It could be noticed that the suggestions listed in here are general. Putting thesesuggestions into good use have mostly caused several companies to achieve unity beyond diversity in their own much diverse workforces. Hence, as Jones commented in his book Contemporary Management, diversity is a normal pa rt of modern management. Being globally distinct, it could not be avoided that dealing with different people everyday is a challenge to the modern managers today (180). With these principles applied, it is expected that each manager be able to complete the necessary points of involution they are given to be able to keep good employees for the companys betterment in the future.ReferencesRobert A. Calculate the reaction rate by taking the inverse of the h mavinst reaction time, i.e., 1 divided by the bonnie reaction time.1. Use table 1 to determine the reaction order for HCl.2. Use table 2 to determine the reaction order for Na2S2O3.Remember, you want to see what happens to the reaction rate when you double the concentration of one reactant while the second reactant remains unchanged. In Part 1, we varied the concentration of HCl while we kept the concentration of Na2S2O3 the same. In Part 2 we varied the concentration of Na2S2O3 while keeping the concentration of HCl the same. These aredata-based data and results will be different from some of the nice, even numbers you saw on standard problems. For example, in this experiment you whitethorn double the concentration of a reactant but the reaction rate may increase anywhere from 1.7 times to 2.4 times. This still means an approximate doubling of the reaction rate. On the some other hand, if you double a reactant concentration and the reaction rate increases by 0.7 to 1.3 times that probably means that the reaction rate multiplier is one (1).D. Write the rate law for the reaction.E. Using the rate law, the rate, and the appropriate concentration(s) from one (or more) of your experiments calculate k.F. Well keep her safe. Alice slid silently into the trees.Bella was showing extraordinary strength for some peerless so human. I swept out of the Jeep and opened the corroborate verge to see Bellas face which was still full of trouble and my protective nerve took a different turn as I took her relegate and brought her to my typeface to comfort and protect her.As the terror rose in my chest I was beginning to take up my feet reluctantly towards her door, where she would leave me to go inside. I knew the only safe place for her was in my arms. Our footsteps echoed in the silence scarcely I was not oblivious to my surroundings as we walked my eyes continually darting from every coign of the open space wish we were in the middle of a war.I hear someone approaching, Emmett resisted the lure to attack but his beliefs were always wildly enthusiastic about the prospect.Fifteen minutes, I reminded Bella spell steal a glance to look at her face, an icy s weightlift of terror rising in the equalize of my stomach.Tiny tears began seeping from beneath her eye lids as she looked up into my eyes. I can do this, she sniffed like she was demonstrateing to convince herself more than me.The lights on the porch were on, fashioning her tears reflect the light as soon as we ascended the last step. She rancid around to face me, bringing her warm sinks to my face, direct a quivering tactile sensationing through my body in the most hostile o f times.I turn in you, Bella express intensely. Nothing is going to happen to you, Bella, I replied fiercely.Just follow the image, alright? Keep Charlie safe for me. Hes not going to like me very much afterward this, and I want to hasten the chance to apologize later, she looked up at me with her tear stained face.I could feel my philia sinking as I took in her pitiful expression. Before I could show this emotion on my face I perceive the thoughts of my family from the woods, distracting me again.Theyre here ?C only jam and Victoria. Alice thought flatly. Laurent went to see Carlisle ?C or ?C to warn him. They are keeping their distance. They caught our scent. Emmett was still hoping for a fight.Well, well, well I heard crowd to imbibeher thoughts. This is going to be a lot more fun than I realized, a laugh escape his lips at the prospect of his new hunt.Get inside, Bella. We wee to hurry, I say urgently spot slant everywhere her protectively. One more thing, she whispered hastily. Dont listen to another word I say this eveningInstantly her lips were on mine, sending warmth and pleasant electric shocks through my body. I forgot where I was for a fraction of a second before she pulled away, tears still streaming down feather her face. Her expression changed to searing see red, she turned on her heal and kicked the front door open.Go away, Edward her voice was a scream before she slammed the door in my face.I stood there looking at the door in stunned disbelief my breath being temporarily robbed. The feelings pulsing through me were oddly disembodying. Shrugging complete the sensation as best I could, I move to look around the cool misty grounds, stealing glances through my siblings minds along with Charlies. throng continued to keep his distance even though his thoughts were smug and optimistic to the point of lol lipopishness. What is she doing? Emmett wondered. I belowestimated her hilarious, this should be entertainingBella? Charlie called out anxiously at his daughters angry words.Move closer and see if you can get a better look at whats going on, I heard pile order Victoria. intermit her neck than mine, James thought c senilely.Leave me alone Bella shouted back at Charlie.Charlies thoughts were incoherent with fear at his daughters obvious pain. He began pounding on her door while startling flashes of insight and thought filled my mind. The human is fighting with her father, Victoria told James after returning to him. This I project to see, James thought menacingly.Hes on the move, Alice warned me.If he gets too close Ill take care of him, Emmett thought pleasantly. My eyes searched the quality for any sign of the tracker but came up empty. I continued to stand protectively below Bellas window. James moved in to hear the conversations going on inside the mark but stayed clear of my vi sion. My tautness flew up fifteen feet to where Bella was.Bella, are you okay? Whats going on? Charlie called out, frightened.Im going home, she shouted angrily. Its almost plausible ?C chuckle ?C this is getting genuine, Emmetts amusement was heightened at her acting.Did he hurt you? Charlie asked, disjointed anger rising in his thoughts.Nohe protects her, James thought with great disgust. At their thoughts I snapped. I flew through the air swiftly entering her bedroom through the window, starting to grab anything and everything from her dresser in a fierce attempt to speed the process. No Bella shouted back at her dad while she ran around her room, packing her belongings. She hadnt noticed my presence until she turned to her dresser. Her eyes found mine and they were full of sadness and guilt. Before I could pull her into my embrace we were interrupted.Did he break up with you? Charlie asked, perplexed by her choppy angst. No Bella shrieked at Charlie again while shoving handfuls of clothes into her bag.Victoria is heading to our house because she knows that we plan to bring Bella there. Alice informed me.Charlie began beating on Bellas door, panic rushing his mind. What happened, Bella? Charlie shouted through the door.I broke up with him she shouted back. She was jerking her hand on the zipper of the bag so I caught her hand gently with mine and zipped it for her. I picked up the bag and gently placed it on her shoulder. Ill be in the transport ?C go I whispered and lightly pushed her towards her door, exhausting to press the fact that we subscribeful to get far away from James. I jumped out of the window. What happened? Charlie asked when she opened her door, following her downstairs. I thought you like him?I do like him ?C thats the problem. I cant do this anymore I cant tramp down anymore roots here I dont want to end up trapped in this stupid, ho-hum town like Mom Im not going to make the same dumb mistake she did. I hate it ?C I cant stay here an other minute Bella yelled in a desperate attempt to convince Charlie to permit her go.Shes good, Emmett thought. She is setting up an escape intellectual, but not clever enough. James thought. Things are about to get real interesting, James sneered in his head.Bells, you cant leave now. Its nighttime, Charlie whispered to her with splendid sadness in his voice. Charlies shocked thoughts were over powering as each word lashed at him, causing him pain.Oh yes she can. add up on little girl, come out to play. James snarled with great smugness.I resisted the temptation to lash around and attack him. That is not a good idea, Alice thought in hollow tones. Flashes of the future floated into her mind but disintegrated when I decided not to follow through with my plan.Ill sleep in the truck if I get tired, Bella responded to Charlie, her voice emotionless.Just wait another week, Charlie begged. Rene willing be back by then. What? Bella stuttered. We need to get her out of there, Alice push ed.She called while you were out. Charlie knew he had caught her off guard. Things arent going so well in Florida, and if Phil doesnt get signed by the end of the week, theyre going back to Arizona. The assistant coach of the Sidewinders said they might have a spot for another shortstop.Arizona is it? Surely she wouldnt actually go there. Hum James thoughts trailed off.I have a key, Bella retorted to Charlies pitiful attempt at keeping her there.Thats right. Just come outside. James was wistful. If it werent for our presence James would have already attacked. I was instantly becoming nervous at our plan. Is this plan going to back fire? I wondered gravely. We would shortly be in her very slow truck driving some(prenominal) miles towards my house before she would be in the protective custody of seven vampires.Just let me go, Charlie. Bella said softly. It didnt work out, okay? I really, really hate ForksThis is really going to hurt Charlie, Alice thought sadly.Bella walked out of the house. Ill call you tomorrow she yelled back to Charlie. She jumped into her truck and the engine roared to lifetime. She backed out and squealed her tires on the pave as she sped away. I was running next to her truck and jumped in. She was trembling and tears were leaking out of her eye lashes in massive amounts.Pull over, I said softly.I can drive, she barely sputtered a sobbing protest. straightaway the fun begins James thought while running behind us.Im right behind you, Edward. Dont worry, he wont try anything, Alice reassured me.I looked at Bellas face and pain knotted my stomach at the thought of her brokenheartedness in this moment. I wanted to do something but I couldnt think of how to comfort her. She was barely staying in between the lines on the road, probably because her vision was blinded by more tears. I grabbed her waist and put my foot on the gas pedal, moving her warm body over mine until I was the one driving. You wouldnt be able to find the house, I tried to ex plain to her in a way that wouldnt hoo-ha her anymore than she already was.The lights of the Jeep flashed across the truck and she turned to look out of the window, horror displayed in her eyes. Its just Alice, I immediately tried to soothe her by cradling her hand in mine. At my interest she sighed and began to relax, though her face showed a great sadness. The tracker? Bella whispered.is running behind us. Emmetts a few steps in the lead of him, Alice informed me of the situation outside the truck but I was too intent on continued to leak from her eyes as she looked up at me.He heard the end of your performance, I said with the deepest of loathing while remembering his thoughts.Charlie? she looked like she was going to choke from the word.Alice quickly began scanning for Charlies future which was solidly there. His future looks bright, she added. The tracker followed us. Hes running behind us now. I continued to try and calm her nerves. Can we run him? she asked anxious and curio us.In that truck? Funny, Emmett mused. No, I pressed the gas pedal down to the floor, emphasizing Emmetts thoughts. The truck groaned, sputtered and continued to move at its regular fifty-five.Nice try, but that truck isnt going any faster. Emmett thought before jumping in the back, highly amused by the whole situation.A high toss scream exited Bellas parted lips and I reached up, clamping my hand across her mouth to quiet her.Its Emmett, I explained while removing my hand from her face. Her face was screwed up in anguish and terror so I wound my arm around her waist and brought her into my side. I felt better immediately at her closeness because this was the safest place for her to be.Its okay Bella, I promised, though I wasnt sure if my promise was empty. Youre going to be safe. Her face still showed a gold braid of emotions terror, panic, and sadness. Expelling all thoughts that were around me I concentrated every last particle of my mind on the one person who needed me most ?C Be lla. I needed to distract her and to distract myself. I knew the best way to get her talking was to make an assumption, which she would undoubtedly correct for me usually with a lengthened explanation.I didnt realize you were still so bored with small-town life, I began, looking sideways at her face. It seemed like you were adjusting fairly well ?C especially recently. Maybe I was just flattering myself that I was do life more interesting for you.I wasnt being nice, she thwarted my attempts at a diversion while gazing down. That was the same thing my mom said when she left him. You could say I was hitting below the belt.Dont worry. Hell yield you, my lips turned up in an attempt to ease her pain. She returned her inspect to mine and her eyes were still round-eyed with panic.Bella, its going to be all right. tho it wont be all right when Im not with you, her lips barely let the whisper escape.Well be together again in a few days, I tightened my grip on her, realizing that I didnt ever want her to leave my protective custody. Dont forget that this was your idea.It was the best idea ?C of passage it was mine, she replied smugly and a smile crept up my face at the sign of a new emotion, but it was fleeting at best. Why did this happen? she choked. Why me?I stared out into the darkness realizing that it was my error. You idiot, moron I knew that there were others in the vicinity and in a moment of happiness I forgot the dangers that could befall a human, especially one that notioned as tempting as she did.Its my fault ?C I was a fool to expose you like that. I replied with rage present in my voice.Thats not what I meant, she said exasperated. I was there, big deal. It didnt bother the other two. Why did this James decide to kill me? Therere people all over the place, why me?In my attempt to block out all thoughts one still protruded into my mind, answering the gesture for me.Because you are protected by seven vampires ?C something I have never come across. Th is is the best challenge, yet. I couldnt have asked for anything better than this James thought hungrily for the hunt.I hesitated before answering Bellas question, trying to word it in a way that wouldnt scare her beyond her current state of terror though the cold fury that was in every line of my face was obvious to her.I got a good look at his mind tonight, I began in a low voice. Im not sure if theres anything I could have done to avoid this, once he saw you. It is partially your fault. I looked at her objurgation in the glass. If you didnt smell so appallingly luscious, he might not have bothered. But when I defended youwell, that made it a lot worse. Hes not used to being thwarted, no matter how insignificant the object. He thinks of himself as a hunter and nothing else. His existence is consumed with tracking, and a challenge is all he asks of life. shortly weve presented him with a beautiful challenge ?C a large clan of dependable fighters all stage set on protecting the one vulnerable element. You wouldnt believe how euphoric he is now. Its his favorite game, and weve just made it his most exciting game ever, I said in disgust.I will win, Jamess thoughts were rapt and exultant.I hesitated, trying to control the sensation that was building in my chest to pull over and attack. I controlled my urge and continued. But if I had stood by, he would have killed you right then, I said, frustrated.I thoughtI didnt smell the same to the othersas I do to you, she said hesitantly. You dont. But that doesnt mean that you arent still a temptation to every one of them. If you had appealed to the tracker ?C or any of them ?C the same way you appeal to me, it would have meant a fight right there.I felt her quiver.I dont think I have any choice but to kill him now, I muttered. Carlisle wont like it.How can you kill a vampire? she asked through her petrified sobs.Glad Im not the one to tell her this one, Emmett chuckled and I ignored him.My focus was solely on Bella. H er gaze met mine and I could see the darkness of my face and eyes as I spoke. The only way to be sure is to tear him to shreds, and then burn the pieces. And the other two will fight with him? unceasingly so full of questions, isnt she? Alice mused. The woman will. Im not sure about Laurent. They dont have a very strong bond ?C hes only with them for convenience. He was embarrassed by James in the meadowBut James and the woman ?C theyll try to kill you? she choked. You silly girl You are the fragile one, the brickle one ?C the one that is being hunted, I internally replied. Bella, dont you dare waste time lamentable about me. Your only concern is keeping yourself safe and ?C please, please ?C trying not to be reckless. I pleaded. Is he still following? she asked.Yes, hes keeping his distance hes pretty keen not to be seen. He wont come after Bella tonight, Alice informed me.Yes. He wont attack the house, though. Not tonight. I replied while turning onto my driveway. After the several m ile drive to the house we could finally see the distant lights of the house becoming larger and clearer. I could immediately hear the thoughts of Laurent.I cant believe they live like this ?C Amazing I cant understand why they are planning on ruining all of this for a human. Laurent thought in astonishment.Hes at the forest edge, Ill grab Bella. Emmett thought while jumping out of the truck and running alongside it. When we were coming to a stop he opened the door and pulled Bella under his pelage and ran her towards the house and through the front door, Alice and I at their side. Relief flowed through my veins now that she was inside, protected. Everyone stood at our arrival.I cant believe this crap, Rosalie was muttering.Oh thank heavens they are all right, Esme and Carlisle both thought, relieved.Laurent stood in the mist of my family members, his eyes a gleaming ominous red, making the difference between us and them stand out. What the hell is he doing in our house? I might get that fight after all, a feral snarl ripped up Emmetts throat, low and vibrating. He sat Bella down next to him, preparing to pounce.Hes tracking us, I stared coldly at Laurent.I was afraid of that, Laurent frowned.I could hear James as he began thinking strategy in his mind, he was going to meet up with Victoria who was already waiting for him a short distance from the house. What will he do? Carlisle asked Laurent in chilling tones.Im good-for-nothing, Laurent began. I was afraid, when your boy there defended her, that it would set him off.Same old games, Laurent thought angrily in his head. Can you stop him? Carlisle questioned.Ill stop him, Emmett roared internally.Nothing stops James when he gets started. Laurent answered while shaking his head in frustration.Well stop him, Emmett promised him.You cant bring him down. Ive never seen anything like him in my iii hundred years. Hes absolutely lethal. Thats why I joined his coven. Laurent said doubtfully. His head began to shake ba ck and away again, this time in confusion. Why her? What is so special about this human girl that would make them want to provoke such a vicious hunter? He stole a look at Bella, and then turned back to Carlisle, perplexed by the situation. Are you sure its worth it?A grumble formed in my stomach and ripped up my throat so loudly that it had him cringing away from me in fear.Im afraid youre going to have to make a choice. Carlisle said gravely. This is one hell of a life style to live in. But James ?C I could never defeat James. They mentioned something about a settlement in Denali. Im intrigued by the life youve created here. But I wont get in the middle of this. I bear none of you any enmity, but I wont go up against James. I think I will head north ?C to that clan in Denali, should I warn them? Oh, why not Dont underestimate James. Hes got a brilliant mind and unparalleled senses. Hes every bit as comfortable in the human world as you seem to be, and he wont come at you head onI m sorry for whats been unleashed here. Truly sorry.Go in peace, Carlisle said quietly.Hum, I hope it is like this in Denali, Laurent wondered, looking around before sweeping out of the house, his thoughts fading with distance.Carlisle turned to meet my gaze. How close?Im going to seal off all entrances to the house, Esme thought while walking over to the wall, pressing a key pad making large metal walls creek and groan as they sealed up the glass wall.About three miles out past the river hes circling around to meet up with the female. I explained.Just drop her off at the rivers bank and get this over with, Rosalie sneered in her head. I ignored her thoughts.Whats the plan? Carlisle asked.Well lead him off, and then Jasper and Alice will run her south. I explained to him in a hurry.South? Interesting choice. And then? Carlisle asked. As soon as Bella is clear, we hunt him. I replied darkly.Well, we know we wont let them hurt Bella. I guess theres no other choice, Carlisle hold but h is lips were turned down into a frown.I turned to Rosalie. She needed to learn that Bella is now a part of our family. Get her upstairs and trade clothes, I commanded. Her thoughts sputtered incoherently for several seconds before anger surged through her mouth. Why should I? she said vehemently. What is she to me? Except a menace ?C a danger youve elect to inflict on all of us.Rose, Emmett put a hand on her shoulder but she shrugged it off. Please ignore her, shell come around one of these days, please, Emmett begged for Rosalie. With everything that Emmett has been doing for me lately I decided that I would do something for him. I ignored Rosalies jibe and changed tack in the speed of light.Ill do it, Edward. Esme suggested.I turned to her, Esme?Of course, she responded immediately. Esme flew to Bellas side and without flinching brought her into her grasp and raced upstairs.Once Bella was upstairs everyone was in a hurry, running around packing their belongings or preparing for their independent trips. I continued to ignore Rosalies thoughts as they grew meaner and more visual.Rosalie, you will take Bellas truck. Esme will go with you, I commanded. You want me to ride in thatthatthing? she barked. Please, Rose. Do it for me, Emmett asked softly.I wont she hissed loudly.Rosalie, Bella is part of this family and you will plow her with respect, do you understand me? Carlisles voice became firm.Fine, Rose snapped at us and then stalked away. I could feel the angry satisfaction on my face.Im coming with you to hunt James. Maybe we can talk him out of this trash and can spare his life, Carlisle thought wishfully.Esme and Bella appeared down the stairs only a few minutes after they went up, both of them changed. It was an odd sensation to smell Bella all over Esme but we were in a hurry so I informed Bella of our plan. Esme and Rosalie will be fetching your truck, Bella, I said while issue her to grab a cell phone that Carlisle was giving to each family member.Alice , Jasper ?C take the Mercedes. Youll need the dark tint in the south.Well keep her safe, Edwardpromise. Ill miss you. Alice thought while Jasper silently nodded in approval of the plan. Were taking the Jeep, I told Bella.Alice, Carlisle asked, will they take the bait?Alice closed her eyes while swirls of colors flashed and danced around until she solidly saw their path. Hell track you. The woman will follow the truck. We should be able to leave after thatLets go. Ill leave you a minute, Carlisle thought but there was still a bite of impatience in his thoughts ?C we had to hurry.I rushed over to Bella, not even hesitating while I brought her into my tight embrace, allow her body warm every inch of mine. The monster, desire, was still positively, solidly there. I placed my hand under her chin, bringing her lips to mine. Euphoria splashed through my hectic nerves calming them, though the electricity reminded me that I was doing this for her, that I would die for her to protect her. In seconds the kiss was over and I could feel the slight vehement of my body as I placed her back on the ground. I kept her face in my hands, communicating silently the love I had for her as tears strolled down her pink cheeks, her face fluid with despair. It was time to go, so I wretched myself away from her and then I was gone, a chill fill my stomach.I ran to the jeep, hoping into the passengers side. Carlisle was driving and Emmett was in the back, we took off, driving north. James caught my scent easily and began chasing after us in the Jeep. I picked up the phone to call Esme. It only rang once, Go now, I ordered.I could still here the thoughts of Victoria as we speed away. Rosalie and Esme fired up Bellas truck and drove east. Victoria caught the smell of Bella and took off after her truck. I called Alice, even though I was positive she already knew. She answered her phone before it even rang, Victoria is on their trail, I informed her. Its time.
